Sawtooth Medallion is a pattern from the book
A Treasury of Scrap Quilts by Nancy J Martin.
It was one of my first attempts at needle turn appliqué.
I finished the top at least 6 years ago if not longer and put it away until I became a better long arm quilter. Well, I have finally figured out you don’t become a better quilter by absorption or by buying books and tools.
You actually need practice.
So just pretend you are on galloping horse when you look at this one.
Happy stitching,
Nancy
Es un trabajo precioso!!
ReplyDeletey estoy de acuerdo,

ReplyDeleteNancy, your quilting is beautiful! You always were good with rulers on your long arm machine, plus it is a really lovely quilt pattern!
ReplyDeleteOh I wish you could learn from absorption! Great looking quilt! Wonderful to have another finish.:)
ReplyDeleteIt looks great and it's done! Yeah! And my horse was not galloping passed.
ReplyDeleteYour Sawtooth Quilt is gorgeous! I love your colors and the appliqué block is just amazing. Beautiful job!!!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt and the quilting are beautiful. Good for you to start quilting some of the tops.
ReplyDeleteI don't need to pretend to be on a galloping horse. It looks better than the machine quilting I do.
ReplyDeletesilly girl! I love the quilt!! BTW, I finished my scrappy cheddar that is pink quilt. I did add a couple more borders to make it bigger. keep sharing your quilts! they are an inspiration. oh, and I have LOTS of tops that need to be quilted. I need to get busy too.....
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful, Nancy. Great finish; your quilting is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLooks so wonderful. Love your quilt.
ReplyDeletePretty blue scrap quilt. I hear ya on the 'get busy.' Sometimes I should be sewing instead of reading quilt blogs. How did you like needleturn?
ReplyDeleteNancy, it's wonderful! I know what you mean about that galloping horse, but you did a great job! I've had my longarm for 7 years and I still consider myself a beginner, but my friends are trying to convince me otherwise.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! It looks great. True confessions - I enlarged the photo and you can be very proud, it looks great.
ReplyDeleteYou've already conquered the quilting - it looks gorgeous! Love the medallion. Congratulations, Nancy!
