A Busy Week

I seem to have become a hit or miss blogger.  I don't know where the days go but they sure go fast.

Tuesday we had a fun day picking strawberries.  Boy all that dirt and pesticide sure taste good.

I added a few more blocks to my Farmer's Wife quilt.  I am trying to decide on the sashing fabric to use.  The quilt seems a little dark and I am trying to think of some way to brighten it up.  Any suggestions?

Thursday I made Lillian a little short outfit.

I also completed  this weeks Barrister's Sow Along Blocks
and am  following along with Cheri from Quilts by Cheri with her little Georgia quilt along.

So I guess the week was a busy one after all but you will notice I didn't mention anything about cleaning or cooking.
Happy stitching,
Nancy

Barrister's Sow Along

Caught up - Well for a few days because it's almost time for the next group of blocks.  We get blocks on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.
The group is up to 24 blocks I wonder how many there will be in all?
Keep Stitching,
Nancy

A Farmers Wife and Plain and Simple

I finished some more of my Farmers Wife blocks last week.  Some of these blocks are from the Barristers Sow-A -Long but I got a little over anxious and started making blocks on my own.  I have the Farmers Wife CD for EQ7 and used it to make the blocks.   I will say it's much easier to just follow Randy and make the blocks she posts on her blog because even with the CD and EQ the cutting directions can be confusing.
I also finished my little Plain and Simple quilt top from Quilts by Cheri.  Cheri has a great blog and is always offering little Mystery Quilts.

Still working on the Cheddar scrappy quilt but I ran out of 2" squares so I need to cut some more.

Also just one more border to finish on the  Beyond the Cherry Tree quilt and that top will be complete.
I am really not in too big of a hurry because I am not looking forward to figuring out how to attach them to the very large center.

Happy Stitching,
Nancy
