Cleaning Out & Passing Along

How in the world did I ever accumulate so much stuff?   Every time I attempt to clean up the cluttered room I sew in all I seem to do is just move things around.  So I thought I would just give some of it away.

A few years ago - I think it was two - I participated in an I spy 5" square exchange...... Now I have decided I am never going to make an I spy quilt so out they go.
If you would like these squares - there are about 60 of them - all you need to do is become a follower of my blog and leave a comment on this post.
Giveaway ends June 30th.
Please someone take them away.
Happy stitching,
Nancy

  1. I would love these squares. My nephew is having twins so I will need to make twice as many quilts. I am also a spinner, knitter, crocheter and right now my loom (45" Jack) is in storage. Isn't it amazing how we keep on learning/trying new things. Thanks for sharing

  11. Well,I can see that I am not the first person who saw the post regarding the I Spy squares to give away. I didn't know so many people were still doing these. My I Spy project is one of my UFO's for my great nieces. Instead of a quilt, I deciced to make a tablecloth in the hopes that it would help keep these young ladies busy at the dinner table.

Right now I cannot go out and shop because I am recovering from a rather long and involved series of knee surgeries. Some new squares to add to my I Spy tablecloth would certainly help to move this project from the UFO to finished stage.

Hopefully we will get to see some of these projects, too.

I am glad I signed up to be a follower.

  12. These little squares would be perfect for me - I'm really enjoying practicing FMQ and with these I wouldn't have to fiddle with cutting and planning - I could just sew together, sandwich and practice - and then have a wonderful quilt to share. I clicked to follow so I'll stay on top of all your projects!

I started making an Eye Spy for the oldest grandson and realized I will not have nearly enough squares to make more of them, and it is hard to find novelty fabrics in our area now, as our local quilt shop closed almost two years ago. Great giveaway, thanks for the opportunity!

  41. Nancy ... what a generous offer! I am involved with "Covering Joplin With Love - One Quilt At A Time," at Brentwood Christian Church, Springfield, Missouri. We are collecting quilts of ANY and ALL SIZES to be distributed to survivors of the EF-5 tornado that devasted Joplin, Missouri on May 22, 2011. If I were to win the blocks, they would be made into I Spy quilts for kids whose lives were turned upside down.
