I was checking the stats on my blog today for no particular reason and saw where there have been over 160,000 Pageviews from 10 different countries and I have over 270 terrific followers.. Now I know that is not a lot for some blogs but for me it feels amazing.
I think the best part of blogging for me is communicating with so may different people from different parts of the world. Lots of us don't even speak the same language but we communicate through a quilting language.
It made me feel like giving something away.
So if you would be interested in winning what's in the picture above leave a little comment about your favorite part of blogging or why you choose to follow a blog.
It would be great if you chose to follow mine.
Then on the 27th I will have the Random Number Generator choose a winner.
Happy Stitching,
Nancy
I love looking to see what everyone is working on. I'm usually attracted to stop and read by the photos whether about quilting or birds or recipes.

ReplyDeleteBlogging allows me a way to record my days, not always interesting to others but I use it to remember dates and events. When I read other people’s blogs my world opens up to the online exhibit of the thoughts and progress of other folks. Thank you for putting my name in the hat for the drawing! (and the words were deleted when I wrote too so this time I composed in WORD and intend to copy and paste in the comment box)

The best thing about blogs apart from a good old sticky beak at what others are doing and the inspiration that they give me is that they brighten up an otherwise very boring day at work!!!!
ReplyDeleteI discovered blogging about 6 months ago, I personally don't have a blog but I follow several and have learned so many new crafts to do and a lot of quilting help & tutorials. I'm teaching myself to quilt so I really enjoy the blogs about quilting. Of course I would love to win this giveaway & by no means would I call it small! Any fabric I can add to my now growing stash is a BIG deal to me!
ReplyDeleteI kept up my blog for 3 years before taking a break, and now I've been back since February. When I started my blog there weren't all that many quilt blogs, so most readers took time to comment every time they visited. I got to know dozens and dozens of quilters all over the world, as they were reading my blog and they were reading theirs. I have quilts I made from blocks swapped with bloggers from all over. I've made many good friends through blogging. Some of my best quilt ideas evolved from conversations with blogging friends. Blogging has blessed my life in so many ways, and has helped me grow and stretch as a quilter. That is what I love most about blogging - the friends I've made and what we have given each other.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful giveaway! I enjoy the connection between quilters from all over who are quilting because they simply love to quilt. I especially love to follow quilters who let their personality shine through in their blog. In fact, I actually follow quilters who work on stuff I don't 'get' just because I love how they talk about the quilting process! Love the quilts you make and I always enjoy coming over to your blog.:)
ReplyDeleteI love reading blogs. So many ideas and inspirations. It's become such a part of my day now, I think I might go through withdrawals if I couldn't do it. :)
ReplyDeleteI found your friendly blog recently when I did a search for Sally Post Sampler-I've admired that quilt for a long time. It's fun to watch your blocks develop and I love the colors you've chosen. I immediately subscribed to your blog in Old Reader and look forward to your posts. I've always hand appliqued but hadn't done so much in recent years-now I'm back. From your blog I've also found other great blogs. Thanks so much@
ReplyDeletep.s. your prizes look like lots of fun :)

ReplyDeleteI think the comment I was writing got away from me! Anyway, I love to read blogs for the inspiration/motivation I get from them. Of course, this makes me want to make a quilt a day and redecorate my house every day. I'm very lucky that those are the only problems I have! Would love to win this giveaway!

ReplyDeleteI blog because its fun to connect with other crafters. Personally I do not have a lot of crafty friends so blogging helps me connect with others. I have made many cyber friends and years later we are still connected. I blog for inspiration from others.
ReplyDeleteFunny thing, my first comment just disappeared from the screen.
I think it is so interesting to look inside the heart of other quilters by visiting their blogs. What they include about their lives is wonderful - letting us know them through words and pictures.
ReplyDeleteI blog to create a record of my work and to see and learn from other quilters - very inspirational. I love making the same quilt as others, currently the Chester County Criswell Quilt. From some blogs I get inspired to try something new, from other I learn about new tools or techniques and from others I get encouraged that others hit a snag (but found a way to overcome it). It's like creating a quilt guild that was created just for me! Thanks for the lovely giveaway!

I wash my quilts and have only noticed fading after about 10 years or so, then I try to go over the writing. I'll try to find the one you used too.
