Scrappy Cheddar Squares Quilt
Thanks for all the suggestions for the background choice for this quilt. As you can see I decided to go with the Cheddar. This is the quilt I hope to make. It's a pattern from a really old quilting magazine. The pattern is really simple just a lot of sewing - that's why I am doing it as a leader ender project.
It's really just a lot of 2 inch squares sewn around a 5 inch square center with sashing strips. I haven't gotten as far as the sashing strips yet.
Then sew the squares around the center block. So simple you don't even need written directions.
I have completed about 20 blocks so far and now I need to make some more 6 and 14 patches.
Back to the leader enders.

Can't Decide!
I have been sewing these little two inch squares of some of the ugliest fabrics out there as leaders and enders for quite a while and now the time has come to put some of them together and make the blocks for this scrappy quilt.
I pulled out some of the background fabrics I have but can't seem to decide which one I like the best so I decided to get some input from some of you.
This first background is white with little red specks on it.This one is a very bright Cheddar.
Here is old faithful White.
And this one is a light cream with little black flowers.
I don't think any of these would be all that bad but at the moment I am leaning towards the Cheddar just can't decide if I would like a large quit with that much really bright Cheddar.
Anybody have a suggestion maybe even a completely different color.
What do you think?

Keeping Up, Catching Up and Cleaning Up
So far I have been able to keep up with my Farmers Wife Sow Along blocks. Now known as the Barristers Block Sow Along. If you are interested in why you can find out here.
Keeping up with those Just Takes Two blocks keeps getting harder and harder. I have been thinking about stopping but I sure am learning a lot and I do have all that red and white fabric.
I am trying really hard to catch up with the Beyond the Cherry Tree quilt. I have completed one border three more to go.
These borders are really long but I think quite pretty.
As far as cleaning up. I got out my scrap basket and my GO cutter and one day I just cut squares. 2, 2 1/2 and 1 1/2 inch. They take up a lot less space.
How are you keeping busy?
Happy stitching,
Nancy

Nancy's Fiber Arts Sale Page
Most of today was spent listing fiber related equipment for sale on my new blog.
I have been playing with fibers and yarns for most of my life and now feel it is time to downsize.
At least that's what my Children tell me.
It's a little scary the amount of stuff you collect.
At the moment it is mostly equipment but will be listing other quilt and fiber related items as time permits.
I would love for you to check it out and also pass the link along.
